It's the Final Countdown

So this is it! As Weirdosport put, I'm only days (or, to be precise - A day) away from 99. I have 1586 logs left to burn, which will give me 224 736.2 experience points. For those interested, that exactly 61 inventories-full (I use two tinderboxes, so 26 slots/inventory).

The plan is that some time tomorrow, I will gather a few friends together, and burn the last few logs (that is, of course assuming that they're not "too busy"). The exact time and location are uncertain right now, but anyone interested (okay, now I know the chances that ANYONE other than Weirdosport and I actually reading this blog are infinitesimally small anyway) in turning up to witness the end of what is probably the longest haul to 99 ever recorded is welcome to fill out the necessary paperwork, submit if to the proper departments and then wait 6-8 weeks for authorisation to attend.

For those of you that don't make the exclusive guest list, some kind of digital presentation consisting of rapidly changing images comprised of various coloured pixels (y'know, a video on YouTube) should be produced and released if I don't manage to do what Weirdosport did all those years ago and manage to turn 30 seconds of animation into 240mb of data.

TL;DR Version: I'm getting 99 Firemaking tomorrow. Cake and Grief Counselling will be available afterwards.

Race Cancelled

Due to bad weather (and possibly because Sonic is within days of reaching 99) it pains me to inform you all (Sonic) that the race has been permanently cancelled.

Thanks anyone that kept track of the blog, sorry to disappoint y'all (Sonic).

Did Ya... Miss Me?

Hmm, it seems that this race is somewhat... dead these days. Seeing as the last post was made well over a year and a half ago, I think it's pretty safe to say that Weirdosport and Borotiger have left the race.

I, on the other hand, have finally kicked it into high gear. What started as a one-sided race in Weirdosport's favour is now a one-man race, with me having more experience that Weirdosport and Borotiger combined.

After 3 years, 1 month and 26 days, I am currently 71% of the way to the final goal of 99 Firemaking.
I'm pleased to announce that I am a maximum of 26 days from achieving this goal (assuming nothing goes wrong...)!

All I can say is:

See you in a few weeks!

Well it's more of a plug. If you use firefox and want to change your track in realplayer or winamp etc you can change it from your browser with this "handy" add-on.

It also allows you to put your current track into your signature on various programs

Firemaking Status

By the looks of it the fire-race has been pretty much abandoned.. I have not yet talked to sonic about what is to follow but we may turn the blog into an animation themed youtube chat blog! I am hoping it will be the first of its kind and it would be funny to put that on Wikipedia.. anyway, if you aren't interested in the boring crap that is likely to follow, thanks anyway for looking at the blog and spending your time reading about our silly little lives.

Anyway I have been told about this "Ewmew Fudd" version of google.. and I didn't understand it.

It's some kind of phonetic version of google but where does the Ewmew Fudd bit fit into it all!?

Just a quick update
Both mine and Weirdosport's membership have run out and we don't know whether we will renew or even keep playing RS. More on this soon.
